3 Uses for Para-Max Cord

Posted by Lauri on Jun 10th 2016

Sometimes #550 paracord just isn't strong enough for your project. Finding the perfect weave to make it strong enough and figuring out how to do the weave can be way too much work. That's where  Para-Max Cord comes in handy. With a tensile strength of 1,000 pounds it is the biggest and strongest cord on the market. It should be a staple in your emergency survival kit as it can be a quickly used a pulley or strong tie. Here you will find 3 ways to use Para-Max cord (plus a fun bonus idea).

For a deeper look into Para-Max:

#1 Tow Rope

This is definitely a necessity to keep in your car. Hopefully it takes a while to make but it will be worth it. But you can rest assured that you'll have a multi-functional tow rope in your trunk if the time ever arises to utilize it.

#2 Belt

Para-Max Cord can be helpful for a quick belt adjustment if you're in a survival situation and need it, or you can do a weave and make a fun and unique belt!

#3 Dog Collar

Para-Max can also make a really tough dog collar that will never snap from being pulled. However, it will be thicker so it would only work for big dogs.

Para-Max Monkey Fist

Bonus -- a Monster Monkey Fist

This can be seriously harmful if you make it with our 2" Steel Ball Bearings.
